you always make me smile :)

God really knows what we need in life.  He knew that I needed someone in my life like Gerard.  He's my 2 year old little boy, the baby in the family.  Sure he can be a pain sometimes (it's a toddler thing! :) ), but he knows how to make me smile and laugh my heart out.  He does a lot of "extraordinary" things that you'd think a 2 year old would not do.   The way he imitates others speech or action is just so funny.  Because he still can't pronounce some of the letters or words correctly, what he'd say might sound different so it would just crack us all up.   He's very sweet and loving - would kiss and hug me often and would pick flowers from outside to give it to me.  Such a sweetie!  Even when I'm on the verge of blowing up because of something he did, he would find a way to make me smile.

Thank you, Lord, for bringing Gerard into my life.  I love you baby for making me and all of us laugh and smile!

all grown up

It has been a long time since I gave my daughter, Gabrielle, a bath.  Well, she's already turning 7 so she knows how to bathe herself.  But yesterday, I gave her a quick, warm bath - she needed help because she just came from being sick.  It felt strange and funny because the last time I gave her a bath, she was still small.  And of course, it made me feel happy.   I miss doing these kind of things for my kids.

Don't grow up too fast, Gab. I love you! :)

a good role model

When my eldest daughter, Gwenevere, came home from school, she proudly narrated how she had been a good example to her classmates today.  They were given a piece that they needed to memorize for the their Elocution Contest for the Linggo ng Wika.  She was able to memorize it last night after finishing all her homework.  They were asked this morning by their teacher if they had already memorized even a part of the elocution piece.  My daughter was the only one in her class who had memorized the piece as she was the only one who raised her hand.  In front of the whole class, her teacher said that she was a good example and a responsible student.  I can see from her eyes that what she experienced in class today and what she heard from her teacher inspired her even more to do better in school and to always be on top.

I'm proud of you, Gwen! Mommy loves you :)
