they just love Lesson Number One

I know this movie is a bit old and my 2 girls were still very little when this movie was released, but Mulan 2 has become one of their most favorite film, which we have seen for the nth time already.  It's one of the overused cartoon DVDs we have at home, because when my kids have a favorite movie they'd watch it over and over and over again, twice a day at most.  Here's the video of the song they like the most in Mulan 2, Lesson Number One.  I also find this song very cute. :)

nail art

My girls didn't sleep in the afternoon after coming home from school yesterday, because they just wanted to play since it's already weekend.  They played with their Barbie dolls while their little brother was asleep (because he keeps on bugging his sisters while playing with their dolls) and also bought nail art stickers at the nearby store and did this to their nails:

I'm kind of picturing what our favorite activity would be when they're teenagers already: we're going to be frequent visitors of a salon or a nail art spa and getting our nails done. :)

Mommy Moments: Big Things

It's my first time to join this wonderful meme for kids and moms.  Big Things is the theme for this week.

And oh, will this picture of my little boy beside a whale shark count? Well, in reality it's big, just small in this pic (lol!)

just goofing around

Below are just some of our crazy pictures at home.  We  thought of doing funny poses for the camera after we ate dinner.

Hope we made you smile with our goofiness. :)

she's gaining a lot of weight

My daughter, Gaby, already has maintenance medicine for her asthma and she’s also taking medication to treat the onset of primary complex.  I just feel so bad that at her age, she just had to take maintenance medicine, and will continue doing it for a period of 9 months.  Every month we’re also required to go see the doctor, so that she can check on her progress and the effect of the medicine she’s taking on her.  Well, the doctor said that one of the effects of the medicine she’s taking is that she’d gain weight.  In other words, she’s going to get fat.  And I’m starting to notice that on her because there a few of her clothes that no longer fits her.

Well, at least she no longer has asthma attacks.  It has been nearly 2 months since her last attack that got her in the hospital, so I’m very thankful that at least the medicines she’s taking are doing her good.  But I just wish there’s another option for her so that she wouldn’t have to take medicine.  She’s just too young and I don’t want her doing this for the rest of her life.

You’re going to be fine, Gaby.  I know our good and faithful Lord will always be with you.  Mommy’s always here, too. :)

my thoughtful little toddler

I’ve shared on one of my blogs how my little boy would always remember to give me flowers after coming home from playing.  He’s such a sweetie!  It’s something that he would always remember to do without anybody telling him to do so.  He just loves me dearly and it just fills my heart with joy!  I have no way of preserving the flowers because they would eventually wilt, so I took a picture of some of the flowers he gave me and preserve the memory of his sweetness and thoughtfulness.  :)

I truly am thankful with such a sweet boy like you, Gerard.  I love you so much!

sleeping buddies

When I was a kid, I have a pillow that I called “my baby.”  I always have it right beside me and would not sleep without it.  I would even kiss and say goodnight and good morning to it.  Well, I guess that’s just how it is with kids.

Now my precious ones have their own sleeping buddies and fondly call them “baby doll.”

Gwenevere got this baby doll as present from her aunt on her 1st birthday.  And it’s still her baby doll up to now that she’s 9.

Gabrielle loves sleeping with this dolphin –  yes, it’s a dolphin yet she also calls this her baby doll. :)

These are my little boy’s cute little friends that he cuddles as he sleeps.

Wonder how long they’ll have them?

pomelo peeling flower

Yesterday after lunch, my kids, Dad and I ate pomelos, that were my husband's "pasalubong" when he came home from a business trip in Cagayan de Oro.  My dad was the one peeling the pomelos and my daughter, Gwenevere, was beside him.  After a few minutes, she called me and said,"Mom take a look at this," and was impressed with the flower she created from the pomelo peelings.  Take a look:

I took a picture of it, because, of course, we'd be throwing away the peelings. :)

I just really admire how kids, like my daughter, can be so creative and imaginative!
