fun Christmas!

Belated Merry Christmas!  I’m sure all of you have had a fun Christmas with your family and loved ones like we did.  My family and I spent Christmas at my husband’s hometown.  We were there for just a few days but that was enough to enjoy our Christmas celebration.

Sharing with you some of my kids’ pictures during our Christmas vacation:

my kids Christmas caroling adventure

Last night, my 3 kiddos and 2 of their friends went out to do their Christmas caroling.  A lot of kids are doing it here in our village and since it's already vacation, I allowed my children to join in the fun of singing Christmas carols.  And yes, even my toddler joined with his sisters, too.  He was clapping his hands and trying to imitate the songs as if he really knows the lyrics.  So cute! :)

They earned a total of Php108.00 pesos, which they shared in equal.  My daughters deposited their earnings in their piggy banks while my little boy bought candies.  They had so much fun and they're going to  do another round of Christmas caroling tonight. :)

Wonder how much they'll earn later?

she's a star!

I've already shared in my other blog about my daughter winning a contest from Cartoon Network Asia and about the photo shoot she had on Sunday.  Gwen really had a great time last Sunday, although I can tell she was a bit tired from all the poses and never-ending smiles she did for the pictures, but still having this experience was a dream come true for her.

She won a lot of cool stuff for winning the contest, which she shared with her sister, and was very happy with the Nintendo DS Lite she got.  The merchandise she got are not yet available here in the Philippines, so she's very happy and proud that she's the only one here in the Philippines who has those cool stuff.

Being her mom, of course, I'm very happy and proud for the blessings she received.  I hope that this would open more opportunities for her in modeling.

Congratulations, Gwen!  Mommy loves you and I'm so proud of you! :)

Mommy Moments: Give Love on Christmas Day

It's Friday once again, and time for Mommy Moments.  This week, mommies will get to share what gifts they’re planning to give to their kids this Christmas.

For my little boy, he already got his Christmas toy early.  He loves airplanes and helicopters and dreams of being a pilot when he grows up (well, for now that’s what he wants) and so when he saw this toy helicopter at the mall, he didn’t let go of it. :)  This is actually his second toy helicopter.  He has one of those helicopter thingys that fly with a remote control but he just plays it with his Dad and grandpa because he still doesn’t know how to navigate these kinds of toys.

For my girls, Gaby wants to have her own PSP and Gwen, being a Barbie fan, wants to own a toy laptop.  I don’t know how their Dad would be able to buy them these toys, but I just say to them to have faith…lots of it. :)

Whether we buy our kids the toys or things they want or not, we’re thankful that they understand when I explain why we couldn’t give it to them yet.  I also tell them that compared to other kids, they’re still fortunate that they’re able to go to a good school and still have things that they need in order to live and grow well.  And that’s enough for them to understand. :)

love that smile! :)

My little boy just loves posing for pictures.  There are times when he looks grumpy on his photos and most of the time he just loves to goof around.  Like these pictures I took of him a couple of weeks ago:

Isn't he just cute and adorable?  He wouldn't stop laughing after seeing his goofy pics. :)

Mommy Moments: Christmas Tree

Mommy Moments time!  And this week's theme is Christmas tree.  My kids are always excited and happy, especially after I've decorated our Christmas tree.  I'm not really artistic, but I really try my best to make our tree very Christmas-y.  Here's our tree at home, and I took this picture right after decorating it. :)

And here are my kids posing by the tree! :)

Gaby's field trip

Though extremely exhausted, my daughter Gaby really enjoyed her field trip yesterday.  I had no problem waking her up early yesterday (unlike when I'm waking her up on school days), because she's really excited about this day.  She also made a new friend, a 1st grade student named Dwight. Well, not all students joined the field trip and their school arranged the bus assignments of students in such a way that Grade 1 and 2 students were mixed.  Gaby is really great in making new friends, and that added even more fun in her field trip.

Below are just some of the pics I took of her and her new friend from yesterday's field trip:

I'm so happy that you enjoyed our bonding time yesterday, Gaby :)  Mommy loves you so much! :)

Mommy Moments: Last Christmas

Here's a simple picture of my kiddos taken last Christmas.  They wanted to pose for a pic by the tree before going to the Christmas party here in our village.

Gwenevere's first Holy Communion

This is the day that my daughter's been waiting for - her first Holy Communion.  She was very excited that finally, she'll be able to join his Dad and me whenever we take communion every Sunday at mass.  She has also been waiting for this day because she's very excited to wear the simple yet pretty white dress we bought. :)

Isn't she just adorable?  Congratulations, Gwen! :)

leaf is the new flower

My little boy stopped giving me flowers whenever he'd come home from play...because he's now giving me leaves.  That's right, leaves!  I guess he thought that I might be getting bored with the flowers so he changed the item for his little surprises for me.

Pretty unique, huh?  :)

they just love Lesson Number One

I know this movie is a bit old and my 2 girls were still very little when this movie was released, but Mulan 2 has become one of their most favorite film, which we have seen for the nth time already.  It's one of the overused cartoon DVDs we have at home, because when my kids have a favorite movie they'd watch it over and over and over again, twice a day at most.  Here's the video of the song they like the most in Mulan 2, Lesson Number One.  I also find this song very cute. :)

nail art

My girls didn't sleep in the afternoon after coming home from school yesterday, because they just wanted to play since it's already weekend.  They played with their Barbie dolls while their little brother was asleep (because he keeps on bugging his sisters while playing with their dolls) and also bought nail art stickers at the nearby store and did this to their nails:

I'm kind of picturing what our favorite activity would be when they're teenagers already: we're going to be frequent visitors of a salon or a nail art spa and getting our nails done. :)

Mommy Moments: Big Things

It's my first time to join this wonderful meme for kids and moms.  Big Things is the theme for this week.

And oh, will this picture of my little boy beside a whale shark count? Well, in reality it's big, just small in this pic (lol!)

Hope we made you smile with our goofiness. :)

she's gaining a lot of weight

My daughter, Gaby, already has maintenance medicine for her asthma and she’s also taking medication to treat the onset of primary complex.  I just feel so bad that at her age, she just had to take maintenance medicine, and will continue doing it for a period of 9 months.  Every month we’re also required to go see the doctor, so that she can check on her progress and the effect of the medicine she’s taking on her.  Well, the doctor said that one of the effects of the medicine she’s taking is that she’d gain weight.  In other words, she’s going to get fat.  And I’m starting to notice that on her because there a few of her clothes that no longer fits her.

Well, at least she no longer has asthma attacks.  It has been nearly 2 months since her last attack that got her in the hospital, so I’m very thankful that at least the medicines she’s taking are doing her good.  But I just wish there’s another option for her so that she wouldn’t have to take medicine.  She’s just too young and I don’t want her doing this for the rest of her life.

You’re going to be fine, Gaby.  I know our good and faithful Lord will always be with you.  Mommy’s always here, too. :)

my thoughtful little toddler

I’ve shared on one of my blogs how my little boy would always remember to give me flowers after coming home from playing.  He’s such a sweetie!  It’s something that he would always remember to do without anybody telling him to do so.  He just loves me dearly and it just fills my heart with joy!  I have no way of preserving the flowers because they would eventually wilt, so I took a picture of some of the flowers he gave me and preserve the memory of his sweetness and thoughtfulness.  :)

I truly am thankful with such a sweet boy like you, Gerard.  I love you so much!

sleeping buddies

When I was a kid, I have a pillow that I called “my baby.”  I always have it right beside me and would not sleep without it.  I would even kiss and say goodnight and good morning to it.  Well, I guess that’s just how it is with kids.

Now my precious ones have their own sleeping buddies and fondly call them “baby doll.”

Gwenevere got this baby doll as present from her aunt on her 1st birthday.  And it’s still her baby doll up to now that she’s 9.

Gabrielle loves sleeping with this dolphin –  yes, it’s a dolphin yet she also calls this her baby doll. :)

These are my little boy’s cute little friends that he cuddles as he sleeps.

Wonder how long they’ll have them?
